Using the data for publication

The following statement should be included in the acknowledgment of papers using the ALMA datasets obtained from the JVO portal:

"This paper makes use of the following ALMA data: ADS/JAO.ALMA#<Project code>. ALMA is a partnership of ESO (representing its member states), NSF (USA) and NINS (Japan), together with NRC (Canada) , MOST and ASIAA (Taiwan), and KASI (Republic of Korea), in cooperation with the Republic of Chile. The Joint ALMA Observatory is operated by ESO, AUI/NRAO and NAOJ."

You can find the project code (e.g. 2011.0.01234.S) on the dataset info page where you download the data.

Please also include the following sentence on the title page as a footnote to the title or in the acknowledgment of the paper.

  • FITS WebQL v5 is now in stable release. (2024-05-27)
  • An experimental version of FITS WebQL v5 is now available. ALMA FITS data in excess of 20 GB is delivered by FITS WebQL running on a PC cluster. As a result, the data display is extremely fast. This version also implements the ability to draw a P-V diagram. (2023-03-08)
  • Update of ALMA line search service: For some of the data (34,495 as of 2022-06-21) source velocity/redshift was determined by using SIMBAD database. SIMBAD objects located within 20 arcsec from the brightest source in the data were selected and their velocity/redshift were used (if availabe) for converting to the rest-frame frequency. (2022-06-21)
  • ALMA line search service (experimental) is available. (2021-12-15)
  • ARI-L data, which is data re-processed by an development project for ALMA upgrade to increase the reduction level of ALMA data, are available for a part of projects. (2020-09-01)
  • Information on the spectral windows for the observation was added in the dataset info page. e.g. Dataset Info for ALMA01059729 (Orion_KL). (2019-11-18)

(*) Please note that seach by the rest-frame frequency properly works for data which contains enough information for deterimining the source velocity (or redshift). We rely on the FITS keyword "RESTFRQ" which is assumed to be set to the middle of the frequency range in the source resft-frame. For some of data source velocity/redshift retrieved from the SIMBAD database was used. The objects were selected by proximity (< 20 arcsec) to the detected sources.
